A Glowing Endorsement
I felt terrified when I performed my play Transfigurations in front of Virgina Ramey Mollenkott and her partner Suzannah. I mean Dr. Mellenkott is like the foremost scholar on gender in the Bible. She spoke earlier in the day. Earlier in the day I sat mesmerized by the depth of knowledge and the impeccable delivery. She said she genuinely liked my play and agreed to send me a little blurb for me to put on my site. This is what she had to say,
Bible-lovers, gender-transgressors of all sorts, people who love justice! Make haste to see Peterson Toscano's play Transfigurations as soon as possible! His biblical exegesis is insightful and accurate, and you will glean a whole new perspective painlessly because of his charming performance.

Cool!
So when are you coming to Tampa to perform it so that I can actually see it?
*taps foot expectantly*
What a beautiful compliment. I know it makes you feel good to have such a good response (even though I already told you I liked it).
What a huge honor. She is amazing and it is so cool to hear that she genuinely enjoyed your show! Congrats!
tom, I didn't know you tap dance! Well, you know I would LOVE to come, but I have to wait for the gig.
carol, yes yes yes, I know you gave me a glowing compliment, but you are my friend, which carries lots of with me, but sounds funny on my web site. "My friend Carol says its great!" ;-)
Noël, right!
You are great!
Is the play just as good without cats in it?
haha; i love the way her endorsement is worded. It brings to mind a town crier or barker of another century... just feels very THEATRICAL and suitable :-)
